Wilczewski Brings Back a BlackRock Alum

Reported by Neil Anderson, Managing Editor

A BlackRock [profile] alumnus recently rejoined DWS [profile], on its U.S. leadership team.

Matthew Todd "Matt" Hilding
DWS Group
U.S. Head of Wealth
Last week JJ Wilczewski, head of client coverage Americas for DWS, confirmed that Matt Hilding has signed on as U.S. head of wealth. Hilding now reports to Wilczewski at the Frankfurt-based, publicly traded, multinational asset manager. (It's U.S. arm is based in New York City.)

Based in the Chicago area, Hilding most recently served as a divisional director at BlackRock. A BlackRock spokesperson declined to comment.

Hilding's return to DWS follows Wilczewski's promotion, back in July, to head of client coverage in the Americas. U.S. wealth, now led by Hilding, is one of Wilczewski's eight segments, and Hilding now serves on the U.S. coverage leadership team.

"We are thrilled to welcome Matt back to DWS and believe he will provide the leadership and strategy necessary as we look to evolve our business and continue to deliver outstanding services and solutions to our clients," Wilczewski stated. "Matt's Chicago-based role is new and focused on enhancing our coverage model to meet the growing needs of our U.S. wealth clients, an important channel in our overall growth strategy."

For his part, Hilding lauds DWS' "dynamic team of investment professionals" and describes the firm "as a leading source of integrated investment solutions, stability and innovation."

Hilding joined BlackRock back in 2018. Prior to that, he spent a decade at DWS. Prior to that he worked with John Hancock, and Van Kampen. He is an alumnus of Illinois Wesleyan University.
