An Old Mutual Exec Departs

James Mikolaichik is going from the frying pan into the fire. Mikolaichik has joined Manning & Napier Advisors, Inc., which has filed for an IPO, as chief financial officer, responsible for leading finance related functions coupled with strategic planning and corporate development.

Previously, he served as the head of strategy at Old Mutual Asset Management, which is contemplating a partial IPO, in Boston, Massachusetts, where he was responsible for setting and executing strategy in conjunction with responsibility for business development and capital projects. An Old Mutual spokesman was not immediately available for comment on Mikolaichik's departure.

James Mikolaichik has recently joined Manning & Napier Advisors, Inc. as Chief Financial Officer. In his role as CFO, Jim will be an integral part of the firm’s senior leadership team with specific responsibility for leading finance related functions coupled with strategic planning and corporate development.

Jim brings a variety of experience within the investment industry to Manning & Napier. Prior to joining, Jim served most recently as the Executive Vice President and Head of Strategy at Old Mutual Asset Management in Boston, Massachusetts, where he worked in various roles since 2004. While there, he was responsible for setting and executing strategy in conjunction with responsibility for business development and capital projects. Jim also spent 11 years with Deloitte & Touche LLP providing consulting, financial advisory, auditing and accounting services to organizations across the financial services industry.

Jim has an MBA from Columbia University, a BS in Accounting from Susquehanna University and is a certified public accountant.
