Legg Mason [view profile] is on the hunt to fill several posts on its sales team.

The Baltimore-based fund firm is looking for three external wholesalers for its independent advisor channel, according to its Web site. The three territories are Western Pennsylvania and upstate New York; Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama and Mississippi; and Houston, Texas, and Louisiana.

Legg also has two wholesaler openings in the national broker-dealer channel. One will cover Ohio and West Virginia and the other will cover the Carolinas.

It was unclear whether the posts are new or pre-existing. A Legg Mason spokesperson said the firm does not comment on open positions.
