ING Exec Moves to Hartford

Greg McGreevey, formerly vice chairman and executive vice president at ING Investment Management, has joined Hartford Investment Management as chief investment officer for insurance portfolios. McGreevey started at The Hartford on August 25 and reports to David Znamierowski, president of Hartford Investment Management Company.

HARTFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hartford Investment Management Company, a subsidiary of The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. (NYSE: HIG), today announced that Greg McGreevey was named chief investment officer for insurance portfolios. He joined the firm on August 25 from ING Investment Management and reports to David Znamierowski, president of Hartford Investment Management Company.

In this role, McGreevey will oversee the general account portfolio management team, with a strong focus on risk management and investment process. In addition, he will lead the capital markets team and commercial mortgage, asset-backed securities and private sectors.

McGreevey comes to Hartford Investment Management from ING Investment Management, where he held positions of increasing responsibility. Most recently, he was vice chairman and executive vice president with ING Investment Management – Americas, where he led three of the company’s divisions, including ING's North American proprietary investments and ING Institutional Markets. In this capacity, McGreevey also served in several leadership roles, including as a member of the Management Council of ING Group and as chairman of several committees, including the Interest Rate, ALM, Credit, and Investment Committees.

A chartered financial analyst, McGreevey earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management from the University of Portland and a master’s in business administration from Portland State University. He currently resides in Alpharetta, Ga., and will be relocating to the Hartford area.
