The
Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) has tapped a new sales leader for its Mutual Funds Service business unit. The clearing firm hired
Paula Sausville Arthus as managing director, Relationship Management to lead its relationship management and sales efforts.
She reports to
Ann Bergin, managing director, Distribution Services. Prior to joining DTCC, Arthus spent more than 25 years at JPMorganChase in investment management operations, technology and custody. She left as a senior vice president and Asset Manager Solutions group business executive overseeing a global outsourcing business for middle- and back-office investment operations. She also helped launch an investment operations product capability that ultimately provided services for more than $400 billion in assets.
Bergin said that at DTCC Arthus will be integrally involved in the fund unit’s expansion strategy, effectively positioning it with current and future clients.
"Our business is growing, and the need to maintain a high level of customer service is a priority for us. At the same time, our clients are expanding into new growth areas, while dealing with regulatory and compliance issues. Our goal is to move toward more strategic relationships with them, where we can address issues and provide technology solutions at an early stage," Bergin said.
One high priority area for DTCC is determining how to develop processing and information exchange efficiencies for clients offering nontraditional products such as unified managed accounts and alternative investments like hedge funds and funds of hedge funds.
