E*Trade cut fees for four of its funds, three of them proprietary index funds, effective April 29, the broker disclosed in May 27 SEC filing.

The online broker cut its Russell 2000, Technology Fund, International Fund and S&P 500 Fund expense ratios.

The firm noted that its expense ratios for the index funds range from 60 to 75 percent less than the industry average, according to Lipper data.

The expense ratios are guaranteed to last through April 30, 2005.
