A 7Y NTAM Leader Joins Schwab

Reported by Neil Anderson, Managing Editor

A seven-year Northern Trust Asset Management [profile] leader in Gotham is joining Charles Schwab [profile].

Omar Aguilar
Schwab Asset Management
CEO, Chief Investment Officer
Kaushal Joshi started at Westlake, Texas-based Schwab in late December, a company spokesperson confirms. Joshi now serves as managing director of Schwab asset management technology on the AWAT (advisor, wealth, and asset management technology) team and will support Schwab Asset Management, the $1.5-trillion-AUM* fund firm led by Omar Aguilar.

New York City-based Joshi most recently served as senior vice president and chief information officer at NTAM. A Northern Trust spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

"I'm deeply grateful for the past seven years at Northern Trust Asset Management, where I had the privilege of partnering with exceptional global leaders and teams to build industry-leading technology solutions that enabled business growth, product innovation and elevated the client experience," Joshi writes in a LinkedIn post. "At Schwab Asset Management, I have the privilege of leading the next generation of digital transformation that enables rapid innovation, accelerates new product development, and deliver scalable investment solutions — all while reinforcing the firm's enduring commitment to client service and trust."

Before joining Northern Trust in 2019, Joshi spent 11 years with Franklin Templeton. He also had stints with Ernst & Young, Capgemini, and Citizens Funds. He is an alumnus of Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business and also attended the University of Mumbai.
