Elizabeth R. Krentzman, consultant and ex-regulator, will join the
Investment Company Institute as the trade organization's general counsel in June, the ICI announced on Thursday.
Krentzman will lead a group of approximately 15 attorneys, said ICI spokesman John Collins.
Krentzman has been a partner at Deloitte & Touche since 1997, where she also directed the firm's Asset Managemetn Regulatory Consulting group. Prior to that, she worked at the SEC's Division of Investment Management.
Krentzman replaces the vacancy left by
Craig Tyle, the ICI's former general counsel. Tyle, now a partner at
Shearman & Sterling, wrapped up seven years at the ICI in March.
Krentzman will report to Paul Stevens, ICI president.
