Gary A. Richards of SunAmerica, and Winfield S. Evens of Hewitt Associates joined Jensen Investment Management's research and portfolio management team, the firm announced on Wednesday.

As Business Analysts, Richards and Evens will report to Eric Schoenstein, director of business analysis -- the firm's research head. Gary Hibler, Robert G. Millen and Robert Zagunis round out the six person team.

Richards was the director of corporate reporting and analysis at SunAmerica. Evens exits Hewitt after 12 years, in positions as team leader of the firm's financial services group and an investment consultant.

The hirings are a result of the firm's past and anticipated growth. Jensen "might put thought into potentially hiring additional client service and marketing people...at present, [we] don't expect that to happen this year" said David Mertens, spokesman.

Jensen managed more than $2.4 billion in assets as of March 31, 2004.
