Affiliated Managers Group announced Wednesday that Robert C. Puff, Jr. has been elected to the firm's board of directors.

Puff is a senior advisor for American Century Investments, and served as ACI's president, chief investment officer, and as a board member. Puff is also a director of Sands Capital Management.

The seven other members of the board are William J. Nutt, chairman and chief executive officer, Sean M. Healey, president and chief operating officer, Richard E. Floor, Stephen J. Lockwood, Harold J. Meyerman, Rita M. Rodriguez and William F. Weld.
