Following a West Coast asset management titan's acquisition of a fellow asset management giant earlier this year, a longtime C-suiter is moving on.
Pete Nachtwey is leaving

MFWire has learned. Nachwey served as
executive vice president and chief financial officer at Baltimore-based
Legg Mason, which acquired by San Mateo, California-based Franklin
last summer.
Nachtwey did not immediately return emails for comment, nor did a Franklin spokesperson.
Joining Legg in 2011 as chief financial officer, Nachtwey was responsible for finance, treasury, and investor relations. He currently belongs to a number of industry groups, including the investor advisory committee of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.
Prior to his work with Legg, Nachtwey was with the Carlyle Group as CFO, where he also served as a member of the company's operating committee. Before his work at Carlyle, he was a partner at Deloitte & Touche, and also spent two years overseas with a U.S. defense contractor before that. Nachtwey is an alumnus of Syracuse University.
