Which mutual fund provider exceeds expectation when it comes to thought leadership?

New York-based industry research firm Corporate Insight just named the winners of its 2014 Monitor Awards. Out of multiple mutual fund firms in the space, Lord Abbett struck gold, while OppenheimerFunds took silver and BlackRock took bronze.

Lord Abbett stood high on the podium, in the consulting shop's eyes, for offering strong thought leadership resources. According to the announcement, the mutual fund shop keeps a steady stream of commentaries on a wide range of topics related to the overall U.S. and international markets, specific products, and planning topics. Content is usually delivered in PDF or videos and most recent content is often promoted on the advisor homepage.

OpFunds was awarded the silver medal for providing commentaries that are well-promoted on the site homepage, thought practiciners who are equally promoted throughout the site, as well as topics that range from general market outlooks to specific investing products and strategies.

BlackRock earned a bronze in this category since thought leadership promotions on the homepage being sparse. The Insights tab, which houses all content, was streamlined.
