Parametric Hires Christine Smith as Chief Administrative Officer

SEATTLE, July 1, 2013 -- Parametric, a subsidiary of Eaton Vance Corp. (EV), and leading provider of engineered investment strategies and implementation services to institutions, family offices and individual investors, today announced it has hired Christine C. Smith as Chief Administrative Officer.  Ms. Smith reports to Chief Executive Officer, Brian Langstraat and will be transitioning duties from Parametric Chief Operating Officer, Andy Abramsky, who is retiring later this year.   "Christine has had proven success in managing high-performance, profitable organizations, and her experience aligns very well with our firm's strategic direction," said Mr. Langstraat.  "We look forward to drawing on her knowledge and experience as we serve a growing product suite and client base."

"I'm excited to be part of the Parametric team that develops the systems and procedures that back the firm's continued growth," said Ms. Smith.  "I look forward to helping the firm to better serve its clients and grow our presence in the multiple client segments we serve."

Parametric, founded in 1987, has grown rapidly to meet the needs of high net worth and institutional investors. It currently manages about $100.8 billion in assets in a range of strategies.

Prior to joining Parametric, Ms. Smith was President and Chief Operating Officer at Bank of New York/Mellon's Transition Management Group, a division which focused on derivatives-based strategies to help institutions manage their asset class exposure during transitions, starting in 2001.  In 2008, she also took over leadership of BNY Mellon's Beta Group, which employs derivatives-based strategies to reduce cash drag and adjust asset class exposure.  She began at BNY Mellon as Director of Risk and Compliance in 1997.  Before joining that firm, she held various roles at Bear Stearns and Morgan Stanley.

Parametric, a subsidiary of Eaton Vance Corp., focuses on the delivery of engineered portfolio solutions, including rules-based alpha-seeking equity, alternative and options strategies, as well as implementation services including tax-managed core equity, futures overlay and centralized portfolio management. As of April 30, 2013, Parametric, and its registered investment adviser affiliate Parametric Risk Advisors, LLC,  managed $100.8 billion in assets on behalf of institutions, high-net-worth individuals and fund investors  in the U.S. and internationally. Parametric operates from investment centers including Seattle, WA, Minneapolis, MN and Westport, CT. For more information about Parametric, visit parametricportfolio.com.
