iShares analysts say stock ETFs holding shares with overseas exposure in the technology sector will likely grow in the coming years, reports ETF Trends.

Russ Koesterich, iShares managing director and chief investment strategist – who was today promoted to be chief investment strategist for all of BlackRock – said in the research note that "investors should build portfolios that are robust to a prolonged period of slow growth."

He added:

Technology is another potential long term play as it has the highest percentage of international sales of any sector, and is therefore the least exposed to a regime of slow growth in the United States.

US tech sector ETFs include Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund, Vanguard Information Technology Index Fund, and iShares Dow Jones US Technology Sector Index Fund. The international tech ETFs include SPDR S&P International Technology Sector ETF, iShares S&P Global Technology Sector Index Fund, and iShares MSCI ACWI ex US Information Technology Sector Index Fund.
