Calvert Hires an Internal Sales Director

Calvert Investments [profile] has hired a new director of internal sales. Darryl Keeton joins the Bethesda, Maryland-based fund shop from Neuberger Berman, where he was a SVP of RIA distribution and helped build out the firm's TAMP sales channel.

The press release announcing the hiring says that he will be responsible for Calvert's telephone sales and internal-external sales team partnerships.

MFWire's calls to Calvert and Neuberger were not immediately returned.

Calvert Investments is known for its socially responsible funds, and manages over $12 billion.

Calvert Investments Hires Darryl Keeton as Director of Internal Sales

BETHESDA, Md., Oct 22, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Calvert Investments announced today that Darryl Keeton has joined its Sales team as the Director, Internal Sales. Mr. Keeton will be responsible for cultivating and advising a sales approach aimed at overseeing proactive outbound telephone sales efforts, facilitating internal-external sales team partnerships, as well as developing high quality team members.

"We are excited to welcome Mr. Keeton to our sales department," said Lynne Ford, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Calvert Investments.

"His extensive knowledge and experience in a variety of asset management sales roles will be a valuable asset in our efforts to continue to strengthen and broaden our team approach." Mr. Keeton has 15 years of experience in direct sales or sales leadership roles within the financial services industry. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President - RIA Distribution, at Neuberger Berman Management LLC, where he led a team of professionals covering the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) channel and was responsible for building the custodian and Turnkey Asset Management Programs (TAMPs) channels.

His product experience includes open and closed-end mutual funds, structured products, Exchange Traded Notes (ETNs), and alternative or non-traditional investments. He has earned professional designations including Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor (CMFC(R)) and Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA(R)). He holds FINRA Series 7, 6, 63 and 24 licenses. Mr. Keeton earned a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Princess Anne, Md.
