Geier Officially Unveils its Maiden Mutual Fund

Geier Asset Management yesterday officially threw its hat into the mutual fund arena with the launch of maide offering that focuses on long-term return from income and capital appreciation.

The MFwire previously reported on (see The MFWire) the firm's planned Geier Strategic Total Return Fund, which will be managed by Thomas Geier, vice president and chief operating officer of Geier Asset Management.

Geier Asset Management is a division of Geier Financial Group, a financial services firm which handles the personal finances of former Baltimore Oriole Cal Ripken Jr. and other baseball players.

Marriottsville, MD -- Geier Asset Management, Inc. today announced the launch of its debut mutual fund. The Geier Strategic Total Return Fund (GAMTX) emphasizes the investment objective of providing long-term total return from income and capital appreciation, with a focus on absolute return, prudent investment risk, and active management.

The Geier Strategic Total Return Fund currently has $27.5 million in assets, with a minimum investment amount of $1,000. The fund will be managed by Thomas M. Geier, CPA, CFP®, PFS. Thomas Geier is Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of the Advisor, Chairman of the Advisor's Investment Committee, and has more than 25 years of portfolio management, investment, and financial experience.
