Fundsters interested in the future of
Vanguard [
see profile], particularly its booming ETF business, should check out the new issue of
InvestmentNews. Jessica Toonkel
interviews Vanguard chief
Bill McNabb about the firm's new position as the biggest mutual fund firm by assets. He revealed, among other tidbits, that he doesn't have big plans for lots of new ETF launches, though they "may add an ETF here and there," Toonkel writes.
McNabb also told InvestmentNews that he's uneasy with Vanguard's crown.
"It makes me nervous more than anything," McNabb reportedly said. "We have 25 million accounts and 10 million households represented. It's an extraordinary number of people who have said, 'We trust you to do the right thing for us,' and it can keep you up at night."
