Old Mutual [see profile] continues to interview people who have their eye on Tom Turpin's old job. Turpin vacated the U.S. asset management CEO post in September amid preparations for a partial IPO.

"Preparations are continuing for the partial IPO of US Asset Management," company officials said as part of a press release on Old Mutual plc's third quarter results Thursday morning.

"We have been encouraged by the calibre of applicants for the CEO role at this business, for which we are currently interviewing. We have successfully established Echo Point as a new affiliate and we continue to make progress with the other operational changes required prior to launching the IPO," they added.
