The Austin, Texas-based financial software provider
MoneyStar, which raised $20 million in mid- 1999 has used some of that nest egg to hire
Steve Martin as its new chief financial officer and
Andy Gill as its chief marketing officer and vice president of marketing.
In addition, the firm announced the hiring of
Randy Watson as vice president of corporate business development and the promotion of
Gary Epple to executive vice president of product development and client services.
Martin comes to MoneyStar from
American Fundware, Inc. where he was also chief financial officer. Gill had been senior vice president and chief marketing officer at
Rx.com, Inc.
The company is also beta testing a consumer edition of its LifeScript planning software, which will enable consumers to interact with their financial planners.
MoneyStar currently offers both the
MoneyStar Financial Network (MoneyStar/fn) and
LifeScript products to financial advisors. Lifescript is used by advisors to graphically chart their financial resources and goals in order to show clients investment objectives, while Moneystar/fn delivers financial product information to advisors via the Internet
