Roger Yates, the chief investment officer of
Invesco Global, the international division of
Amvescap -- the second-biggest publicly traded asset manager by assets -- has left the company to join
AMP Ltd., Australia's biggest life insurer and fund manager.
AMP has hired Yates to run its new global asset management operations which will unify its investment operations in the U.K., Australia and New Zealand.
Invesco Global announced two appointments following Yate's resignation.
Tristan Hillgarth, deputy chief executive of Invesco Global, will replace Yates as head of investment and
Sarah Bates has been appointed managing director of Invesco Global's UK Institutional Division. Bates will also continue to be responsible for Invesco's Specialist Funds business.
