by: Armie Margaret Lee

Ron Albahary left Schroder Investment Management North America last Friday to take a job as chief investment officer at Convergent Wealth Advisors. He reports to Convergent CEO Steve Lockshin.

Albahary was with Schroders for a little over a year. He joined last June to fill the newly created role of head of strategic investment solutions initiatives for North America. He reported to Schroders Americas CEO Jamie Dorrien-Smith.

Albahary's counterpart in Europe, Justin Simler, has assumed his duties in North America, said Schroders spokeswoman Jennifer Manser. Simler continues to report to Neil Walton, head of strategic solutions.

Earlier, Albahary served as managing director of SEI global private client portfolio management. Before that, he held stints at Merrill Lynch Retirement Group and Northern Trust Global Investments.
