An Asset Management Recruiter Switches Firms

Executive search firm Slayton Search Partners has a new hire focusing on the asset management and wealth management fields. Ellen Heller joined Slayton's New York office as managing director in the financial services practice. Previously, Heller led the North American asset management practice at Whitney Group.

NEW YORK, NY, December 8, 2008 – Executive search firm Slayton Search Partners announced today that Ellen S. Heller has joined their New York office, and will be based out of Boston. Ellen will serve as a Managing Director in the Firm’s Financial Services Practice focusing on Asset Management and Wealth Management. Her addition to Slayton builds upon the Firm’s commitment to serving clients within financial services.

Ellen joins Slayton from Whitney Group, where she was the leader of their North American Asset Management practice. With more than 20 years in the asset management industry, Ellen works on a national level across all functional areas in asset management, including the alternative asset management and private wealth management sectors, placing senior level management and investment professionals.

“We are very fortunate to have someone of Ellen’s caliber join us,” says Kimberly Bishop, Slayton’s Vice Chairman. “Her reputation in this market helps strengthen our platform in financial services, and she will lead our efforts in this key sector.”

Ellen holds a BA in sociology/psychology from Brandeis University and a M.Ed from Northeastern University. She has also received advanced management training at Harvard Business School and INSEAD in France.
