Fund Administrator Expands Executive Team

Jackson Fund Services just hired four executives for new positions. On Monday the Chicago-based fund administrator revealed that Mark R. Anderson, Karen Buiter, J. Kevin Kenely and Mik Piszczek all have joined the firm.

Anderson, a veteran of Integrity Mutual Funds, serves as vice president of investment management and variable product operations. Henderson Global Investors alum Buiter joins as assistant vice president of financial reporting. Kenely, a Keystone Group/Evergreen Investment Services alum, serves as vice president of fund accounting, pricing and corporate actions. And Nuveen veteran Piszczek joins as assistant vice president of tax.

July 21, 2008 10:33 AM Eastern Daylight Time Jackson Fund Services Announces the Addition of Four Executives to Senior Management Team

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jackson Fund Services (JFS; www.JacksonFundServices.com), a division of Jackson National Asset Management, LLC, today announced the addition of four new executives to its senior management team. The new positions were created in response to the firm’s tremendous growth over the past 18 months and engineered specifically to add depth to the oversight of several business-critical company functions.

The new executives and their respective positions are as follows: Mark R. Anderson, vice president – investment management and variable product operations; Karen Buiter, assistant vice president - financial reporting; J. Kevin Kenely, vice president - fund accounting, pricing and corporate actions; and Mike Piszczek, assistant vice president - tax.

Mark R. Anderson, 43, vice president – investment management and variable product operations, is responsible for investment management, sub-adviser oversight, separate account and transfer agent operations as well as business development. Mr. Anderson brings nearly 20 years of securities industry experience to the firm. Prior to joining JFS, he held various executive positions with Integrity Mutual Funds, Inc. and was a personal trust officer for Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. Mr. Anderson holds a B.A. in marketing from the University of North Dakota.

Karen Buiter, 43, assistant vice president - financial reporting, is responsible for managing the Financial Reporting Group, which provides reporting and administrative services to shareholders on all third-party funds, as well as Jackson National Life Insurance Company®’s variable annuity, variable life insurance and retail mutual fund products. Prior to joining JFS, she was Treasurer for Henderson Global Investors, Inc., where she was responsible for the operations, treasury and fund administration functions of their retail mutual fund products. Ms. Buiter, who brings over 20 years of industry experience to JFS, is a certified public accountant and holds a B.S. in accounting from Trinity Christian College.

J. Kevin Kenely, 54, vice president - fund accounting, pricing and corporate actions, has over 25 years of experience in the mutual fund arena overseeing investment operations, controls, fund administration and corporate finance. In his new role, he will provide strategic leadership and senior management oversight to the fund accounting, corporate actions and pricing departments. Prior to joining JFS in 2007, he held various senior management positions at Keystone Group and its successor firm, Evergreen Investment Services, Inc., as well as Grantham, Mayo and Van Otterloo & Co., LLC. Mr. Kenely is a graduate of Boston College and holds a B.S. in business administration with concentrations in accounting and computer science. He is also a certified public accountant.

Mike Piszczek, 50, assistant vice president - tax, manages the preparation and communication of all tax-related provisions, including monitoring compliance with the Internal Revenue Code, as applicable to regulated investment companies. Before joining JFS in 2007, he worked for Nuveen Investments, where he held similar responsibilities as assistant vice president and tax manager for more than 170 funds. Mr. Piszczek, who brings 23 years of industry experience to JFS, is a certified public accountant and has been a member of the Investment Company Institute’s Tax Committee for the past 11 years. He received a B.S. in accounting and a certificate in financial planning from DePaul University.
