News summary by MFWire's editors

Lord, Abbett just launched a new corporate website. The new site is designed for the individual investor, and is divided into several sections, such as: My Account, Mutual Funds, Commentary, Retirement Planning, and About Lord Abbett.

Lord, Abbett & Co. LLC (“Lord Abbett”), an independent, privately held investment management firm, launched its new corporate Website (www.lordabbett.com). The Website offers improved navigation, a fresh design, and helpful tools and commentary for individual investors to best work with financial advisors, and to learn more about Lord Abbett.

The firm undertook several months of research, market testing, development, and internal review prior to the site’s launch. In addition, Lord Abbett is examining new technologies in order to create innovative sites that will further assist financial advisors, institutional clients, and to better service the firm’s international clients, particularly in Europe and Asia.

Lord Abbett Managing Partner Daria Foster said, “Lord Abbett is committed to the quality of our shareholders’ investment experience, and the website is a critical component of the partnership with our clients.”

This new site is designed for the individual investor, and is divided into several, easy-to-use sections, such as: My Account, Mutual Funds, Commentary, Retirement Planning, and About Lord Abbett.

- The Mutual Funds section of the site provides the latest prices and performance information for Lord Abbett funds; the funds’ goals, strategies, and risk characteristics; and the latest commentary and analyses from portfolio managers.

- The Commentary section provides Lord Abbett’s latest perspectives on financial markets; publications, including The Lord Abbett Review and Lord Abbett Insights; offers current market information and trends with, for example, Economic Insights and Market View; and postings of Q&As with our “Ask the Economist” section.

- The Retirement Planning section offers details on different kinds of IRAs and IRA contribution and distribution rules; and advice for business owners to enable them to research the appropriate retirement plan for themselves and their employees, and how to work with a financial advisor to establish a plan.

- The About Lord Abbett corporate pages offer the firm’s philosophy, describing the responsibility and stewardship of managing clients’ assets, as well as a link that outlines the firm’s proud heritage and future vision.
