Tuesday, March 1, 2005 Concentrated Fund Opens it Doors American Century Investments is seeing more demand for concentrated investment products. In response, the Kansas City-based fund firm is rolling out the American Century Focused Growth Fund (AFSIX). The fund will invest in 25 to 45 large- and mid-cap companies with earnings and revenues growing at successively faster rates that appear to be sustainable. Greg Woodhams and Joe Reiland are portfolio managers of the fund. Woodhams is also a co-portfolio manager on the firm's $4.9 billion Growth Fund. The fund firm is offering Investor Class shares only with a minimum initial investment of $2,500. American Century manages approximately $97 billion in assets.
