Earlier this week, the teams at Great Place to Work and Fortune unveiled their 2023 list of the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For. The Great Place to Work team has been gathering data for more than 25 years, and this year's list is based on a survey of more than 1.3 million U.S. employees. According to the Great Place to Work team, companies on the list outperform the stock market and have a better time with recruiting and retention.

Next up is Baird, which ranks 23rd this year. That's up from 27th in 2022 and 32nd in 2021, down from 13th in 2020, 16th in 2019, 12th in 2018, 4th in 2017, and 6th in 2016.

Edward Jones ranks 62nd this year. That's down from 35th last year, 20th in 2021, 7th in 2020 and 2019, 5th in 2018 and 2017, and 10th in 2016.

Three companies in the 401(k) recordkeeping business also made this year's list. Our sister publication 401kWire has more details.
