MMI Hires a College Admissions Vet

At a Big Apple trade group, an experienced programs coordinator has landed at the group's workplace diversity foundation.

Sarit Abramowicz
Money Management Institute
First Vice President, Director of the MMI Gateway Foundation
Earlier this spring, former Coda Societies freelance strategy consultant Sarit Abramowicz joined the New York City-based Money Management Institute (MMI) as the group's first vice president and director of the MMI Gateway Foundation.

Craig Pfeiffer, president and CEO of MMI, did not return calls or an email for comment.

The Gateway Foundation was started in 2007 as a means of promoting diversity and minority success within the financial services industry. Financial literacy in underserved communities, early talent development programs, and performance and professional development through mid-career recruitment and retention are the three core elements of the foundation's mission.

The MMI team writes of Abramowicz on LinkedIn, "We are so excited to have her on our team!"

Abramowicz was with Barnard College from 2015 to April of 2021, first serving as a consultant for the Athena Center for Leadership Studies, then as an administrative director in student programs. For eight and a half years before that, she was with International House as an assistant director of admissions, then as an interim director and assistant director of programs and resident life. For six months in 2006, she was an enrichment programs assistant for One To World. Between 2001 and 2006, she held a number of roles in programs and account management for Mailinglists.com, Random House, and then New York University. Abramowicz is an alumna of Binghamton University and New York University.
