Four Fundster CEOs Win a Trade Pub's Praise

A quartet of familiar fundster chiefs recently won recognition from an FA-focused trade publication.

Last week, the team at ALM's Investment Advisor magazine (and their sister website, ThinkAdvisor) revealed their 2021 IA25, a list of "advisors, experts and leaders in financial services who are pushing the industry forward." The list includes four fundster CEOs, as well as a pair of fundster-adjacent leaders.

Fundsters on the list include: Larry Fink, CEO of BlackRock; Mellody Hobson, president and co-CEO of Ariel Investments; Abby Johnson, president, CEO, and chair of Fidelity Investments; and Cathie Wood, founder and CEO of Ark Investment Management.

The list also includes a pair of new faces, outside the industry, whom fundsters may want to get to know: Thasunda Brown Duckett, the new CEO of TIAA (parent of Nuveen); and Gary Gensler, the freshly appointed chair of the SEC.
