A Nine-Year Company Vet Returns to Third Avenue

Three years after he left, a nine-year company veteran has returned to Third Avenue Management [profile].

Erik Christoffer Kleinbeck
Third Avenue Management
Managing Director, Head of Business Development
Today Jason Wolf, PM at Third Avenue, confirms that Erik Kleinbeck recently rejoined the New York City-based fund firm. Kleinbeck now serves as managing director and head of business development at Third Avenue.

For the past three years, Kleinbeck had been working at another big apple firm, Stralem & Company, where he served as director of business development and relationship management, leading institutional sales. An executive with Stralem did not immediately return a call for comment.

At Third Avenue, Wolf lauds the returning Kleinbeck for "his industry relationships, knowledge of business development, and deep understanding of Third Avenue's principles." Kleinbeck, for his part, states that he is "very excited to rejoin Third Avenue."

Kleinbeck joined Stralem in 2016. Prior to that, he spent nine years at Third Avenue, rising to senior managing director of business development. Before that, he worked with Sparx, Credit Suisse, Warburg Pincus, Invesco, and Chatfield Dean. He is an alumnus of UConn and of Denison University.
