Week In Preview, November 6-12


DST's kasina is hosting a pair of events in New York City this week. Tonight they will kick off their 2017 Future of Digital roundtable event with a dinner at Bar Boulud. Sessions will take place tomorrow morning at the Convene in the TIAA building. Then tomorrow night they will kick off their 2017 Distribution Strategy Summit with a dinner, followed by sessions at the same Convene on Wednesday morning. kasina's Steven Miyao will deliver the keynote address.

Also tonight in the Big Apple, the Mutual Fund Education Alliance (MFEA) team is kicking off their leadership summit with a dinner at the New York Marriott Downtown. The summit, themed around "the future of our marketplace", will continue tomorrow with sessions at OppenheimerFunds' headquarters.

Tomorrow morning, also in Gotham, the Change Finance team, led by CEO Donna Morton, will ring the NYSE opening bell and host a breakfast event afterwards.

On Thursday, again in Manhattan, the Investment Company Institute (ICI) team will host their 2017 Closed-End Fund Conference, this time at the Convene near Wall Street. On Friday Ron Baron and his team will host the 2017 Baron Funds conference, again at the Metropolitan Opera House of Lincoln Center in New York City. The morning will feature remarks from CEOs of several Baron Funds portfolio companies, including Charles Schwab CEO Walt Bettinger. Also on Friday in New York, the New York Financial Writers' Association will host the 75th annual Financial Follies dinner and entertainment gala. The event, held at the New York Hilton Midtown, features financial journalists in a kind of satirical variety show. USAA will host a pre-Follies cocktail reception, also at the New York Hilton Midtown.
