Five Powerful Female Fundsters

Five fundsters are among the most powerful women in finance, according to American Banker.

Yesterday the trade publication released its list of the 25 most powerful women in finance. A fundster, J.P. Morgan Asset Management CEO Mary Callahan Erdoes tops the list, which also includes: Abby Johnson, Fidelity chairman and CEO, at number two; Marie Chandoha, president and CEO of Charles Schwab Asset Management, at five; Yie-Hsin Hung, CEO of New York Life Investment Management, at 15; and Fiona Bassett, head of passive asset management for the Americas at Deutsche Asset Management, at 24. Of the five, only Hung is a new addition to the list this year.

Other familiar faces on the list include: Kelly Coffey, CEO of the U.S. private bank at J.P. Morgan Chase, at number 14; Kathie Andrade, CEO of retail financial services at TIAA, at 18; Tracey Brophy Warson head of Citi Private Bank, North America at Citi Group, at 19; and Paula Polito, client strategy officer and group managing director at UBS Wealth Management Americas.

American Banker also released two other lists yesterday, the most powerful women in banking and women to watch.
