A Long-Short Fund Firm Ties Into Two More Platforms

Chief compliance officer Larry Kriesmer and chief investment officer Bernard Surovsky of San Diego-based Measured Risk Portfolios are expanding distribution for the firm's only fund. The Measured Risk Strategy Fund (MRPIX) is now available on Interactive Brokers and E-Trade.

The six-month-old fund is the firm's first mutual fund. It is already available on TD Ameritrade and will soon be offered on another platform, MFWire has learned. Kriesmer would not comment on specific future platform moves.

"We are looking forward to being offered on additional platforms as we mature and gain traction," Kriesmer tells MFWire.

The fund is also approved on Pershing, a platform for broker-dealers, but there are no selling agreements with individual broker-dealers to make it officially available.

"We wanted this [product] and couldn't find it anywhere else, so we built it ourselves," Kriesmer says.

The Measured Risk Strategy Fund is a long-short equity fund and currently has $15.8 million in AUM.
