Fund: Fallen Angel High Yield Bond ETF (ANGL)

VanEck celebrated the fifth anniversary of ANGL on April 10. The New York City-based fund firm pitches the ETF as the first to target investment grade funds that downgraded to 'junk status,' hence the "fallen angels" title.

New Indices: CFRA-Stovall Large Cap Seasonal Rotation Index (CSAMSRLC), CFRA-Stovall Equal Weight Seasonal Rotation Index (CSAMSREW), CFRA-Stovall Small Cap Seasonal Rotation Index (CSAMSRSC), CFRA-Stovall Global Seasonal Rotation Index (CSAMSRGL)

CFRA launched its suite of seasonal rotation indices, on April 19. These indices have been "backtested to demonstrate efficacy and in all cases have outperformed their targets with lower volatility."

New Fund: Toroso ETF Industry Index

Toroso launched the Toroso ETF Industry Index on April 20. It is "is designed to provide exposure to the publicly traded companies that derive revenue from the ETF industry." Accompanying this launch, the ETF Industry Exposure & Financial Services ETF was also launched and began trading on April 20. This ETF tracks the new Toroso ETF Industry Index.

Fund: TIAA-CREF Lifecycle Funds

Nuveen enhanced these funds with the addition of direct real estate investments within the portfolios.

Company: Charles Schwab Investment Management

Funds: Schwab Short-Term Bond Market Fund, Schwab Total Bond Market Fund

Schwab is liquidating the above funds, despite prior plans to merge them into another pair of Schwab funds, the Schwab Short-Term Bond Index Fund and the Schwab U.S. Aggregate Bond Index Fund. The Short-Term Bond Market Fund and the Total Bond Market Fund were closed to new investors on February 22, and by August 16 all purchases and exchanges will be closed. Liquidation of the two funds is scheduled for August 18.
