AdvisorCentral Adds Aquila

AdvisorCentral has added The Aquila Group of Funds to its roster of fund families. The fund family is making all of its bond and equity funds available through AdvisorCentral. Also being added to the system are its money fund portfolios: Capital Cash Management Trust and the three portfolios of Cash Assets Trust.

AdvisorCentral used an e-marketing campaign to alert major broker-dealers to the fund company's new presence on the portal. It is also working with Aquila's wholesalers and is providing training on the features and benefits of the portal.

Aquila is a niche provider of single-state municipal bond and regional equity funds. It manages approximately $2.5 billion in fixed income assets. Among the funds being added are the Hawaiian Tax-Free Trust, Tax-Free Trust of Arizona, Tax-Free Trust of Oregon, Tax-Free Fund of Colorado, Churchill Tax-Free Fund of Kentucky, Tax-Free Fund For Utah, Narragansett Insured Tax-Free Income Fund, and Aquila Rocky Mountain Equity Fund.

"AdvisorCentral is an important resource that significantly increases the availability and type of account information directly available to broker-dealers and advisors, thereby enabling them to better serve our shareholders who are their clients," said Diana Herrmann, president and chief operating officer of Aquila Management Corporation. "Ultimately, we believe that by supporting intermediaries with the shareholder information available through AdvisorCentral, we will increase their interest in recommending our funds."

AdvisorCentral says that it now aggregates account information from 45 fund companies and receives two million queries per month from registered users. The portal is a joint venture of Fidelity Investments, Franklin & Templeton Investors Services, Inc., Putnam Investments and PFPC Inc.
