Citizens Eyes the Institutional Biz


Socially-responsible investing specialist Citizens Advisors has brought a new sales director on board to focus on the institutional market. Robert Behan will focus on consultant relations and client service management as part of the job at the Portsmouth, New Hampshire-based fund firm. He reports to Sophia Collier, president of Citizens and holds the title of vice president, director of sales.

Behan's background is in the qualified plan market. He was most recently a vice president of institutional asset management for Strong Capital Management. In that job he focused on starting and nurturing relationships with qualified plan sponsors, investment consultants, and registered investment advisers.

Before going to strong he specialized in qualified plan sales as vice president, national accounts for CIGNA Retirement & Investment Services. He was also a pension director at ManuLife Financial.
