An Ivy Vet Takes Up One of Pickens' Hats

Jeff Place just anointed a successor to take one of the two Ivy Funds [profile] hats left behind by a top distribution executive who moved on from the mutual fund shop last month. Stay tuned for word on that departed employee's second hat: national accounts.

Vice President, Head of DC I-O
MFWire's sister publication, 401kWire, broke the news that Place has named vice president Angela Achatz as head of DC I-O. Seven-year Ivy veteran Achatz reports to Place, senior vice president and head of sales, and her number two will be 11-year Ivy veteran Stacy Zenger, assistant vice president and DC I-O relationship manager.

Ivy's retirement and national accounts efforts had previously been led by the same executive: senior vice president Kirsten Pickens. Yet Pickens left Ivy last month. With the appointment of Achatz, DC I-O now falls under Place, head of sales. And national accounts reports to Tom Butch, president and CEO of Ivy Funds Distributor.

Ivy had about $66 billion in AUM as of March 31, including about $6 billion in DC I-O.
