Wednesday, September 12, 2012 M* Says ETF Managed Portfolios Grew 30 Percent This Year Assets in ETF managed portfolio strategies have grown 30 percent this year as of June 2012, and 48 percent since September 2011, according to a report issued by Morningstar. Morningstar is currently tracking nearly 490 such strategies from 120 firms with total assets of $50 billion as of June 2012. According to the Morningstar report, titled ETF Managed Portfolios Landscape Report, this trend is being driven by a number of factors, including growing adoption of the fiduciary model in portfolio management, a growing appetite for some kind of coverage in domestic equities, and aggressive growth by the sector's biggest players.
