NewRiver Adds Fund Chief to Board

A fund industry veteran is one of two new board members at NewRiver. Dan J. Hesser, retired chairman, president and chief executive officer of INVESCO Funds Group has joined the board of the Andover, Massachusetts-based firm along with R. Craig Kirsch, director and chief executive officer of Princeton eCom.

NewRiver uses the Internet and electronic means to provide services such as prospectus handling and delivery to fund firms.

Hesser, a career long Invesco employee, held the senior slots at the Denver-based fund unit from 1991 through 1998. He also sits on the boards of Tanning Technologies, AMC Cancer Research, Colorado Symphony Foundation and the Garth Brooks Foundation. "I am thrilled with the opportunity to work with Larry Renfro and to serve on NewRiver's Board of Directors," said Hesser. "I believe my financial services background will be beneficial in guiding NewRiver as it continues to grow."

"We are delighted to have both Dan and Craig as members of our Board of Directors," said NewRiver Chairman, CEO and President, Larry C. Renfro, in a statement. "Their extensive financial services background will be extremely valuable to NewRiver as we continue to expand our business. Their presence will enhance our commitment to provide customer-driven electronic communication solutions to mutual fund companies, brokerage firms and insurance and retirement companies."
