Axa Rosenberg Names its New Top Exec

Axa Rosenberg has appointed Jeremy Baskin to succeed Stephane Prunet as CEO effective January 1. Dominique Carrel-Billiard, CEO of Axa Investment Managers and chairman of Axa Rosenberg, announced Baskin's appointment today in a client letter posted on Axa Rosenberg's Web site.

Baskin spent 22 years at Northern Trust, most recently in the role of senior vice president and head of active equity management. Prunet will remain with Axa Investment Managers as an advisor to Carrel-Billiard.

This marks the latest change within Axa Rosenberg's senior ranks in the wake of a coding error. In April, the firm sent a letter to clients in which it discussed a coding error that it had first discovered in June 2009 and corrected between September and mid-November.

In his December 1 letter, Carrel-Billiard also said Will Jump will take over from Bill Ricks as Americas CIO. Ricks' resignation was previously reported by the media.

In addition, Axa Rosenberg hired Anna Chefter as chief risk officer.
