Business Plus announces forthcoming book by CNBC contributor and Virtus Chief Market Strategist Joe Terranova

New York, NY // September 9, 2010 // Business Plus, an imprint of Grand Central Publishing (Hachette Book Group), announced today that it will publish a new book titled Buy High, Sell Higher by CNBC contributor Joe Terranova, tentatively scheduled for publication in early 2012.

Buy High, Sell Higher will contain counter-intuitive advice that will help the average investor think like a professional trader. The book will mix trading floor wisdom with action plans that will help the reader build a winning portfolio.

"Joe has spent his career as a trader, market strategist and manager of traders," said John Brodie, Executive Editor at Business Plus. "In Buy High, Sell Higher, Joe will distill his 20 years of experience into an easy-to-understand playbook that gives the novice investor the tools to shake off their buy-and-hold timidity and master today’s volatile markets."

"I am delighted to be working with Business Plus," said Joe Terranova. "For far too long, investors have been taught to focus on how much they can make on a particular investment. I think it is time that investors first learn how to avoid losses on their investments. Over my career, I am humble enough to say, I have made plenty of investing mistakes. In this book, readers will benefit from learning how professional traders successfully overcome their failures."

Terranova is the Chief Market Strategist for Virtus Investment Partners, a Hartford, CT-based asset management firm with more than $25 billion under management. In May 2008 he signed on as a contributor with CNBC where he is currently a full time panelist on the highly rated evening program "Fast Money." Joe is also a frequent panelist on CNBC's "Halftime Report," which airs daily at 12:30 EST. Terranova graduated from the Peter J. Tobin College of Business at St. John’s University, and resides in New York with his family.
