Van Eck Global [see profile] today launched the Vectors India Small-Cap Index ETF (SCIF) on the NYSE Arca. This is the 27th ETF offered under the New York City-based company's Market Vectors brand.

Van Eck officials, led by principal Jan van Eck, marked the launch by hosting a media event at the firm's Manhattan headquarters this morning. Other company executives in attendance included managing director of Market Vectors ETFs Adam Phillips and director of international equity David Semple.
