Tuesday, August 6, 2002 Two on the Boards StanCorp Financial Group has appointed to its board of directors Eric Parsons as president and coo and Doug Maines as executive vice president. Parsons will become ceo of StanCorp and its largest subsidiary, Standard Insurance Company in January 2003. Parson was previously chief financial officer of StanCorp and Standard Insurance Company and has held executive positions in finance, investments, mortgage loans and real estate since he joined the company in 1968. Maines joined the company in 1998. He has held senior leadership positions with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, Washington National Insurance Company and Unum Life Insurance Company.
