Thursday, June 17, 2010 FRC Hooks Up With S&P Financial Research Corporation just fired up an advisor-centric alliance. Today the Beatntown mutual fund researchers and Standard & Poor's revealed a partnership whereby the S&P distributes FRC's content to advisors via its online MarketScope Advisor program. Scott Brennan, vice president and global head of marketing for equity research, confirmed that S&P currently works with about 80,000 advisors via MarketScope. "It's a content partnership," Brennan said. "We're excited." Bruce Fador, FRC's CEO, put the move in the context of a shift towards catering more towards those in the wealth management space, not just the asset managers (FRC's traditional clients). "We intend to bring FRC's world-class research product more directly to individual financial advisors," Fador stated. "By making our material available on Standard & Poor's MarketScope Advisor, we taking a major step forward ..." William Okun, executive managing director for investment research at S&P, praised FRC for its "unique views on the asset management world."
