Strategic Insight Goes to London

Strategic Insight has set up shop in London. The New York-based fund research and consulting firm opened its London office March 1, with Andreas Pfunder, an alum of Fidelity International and AllianceBernstein, serving as managing director for Europe. This is the first overseas office for Strategic Insight, which also plans to open a Hong Kong office by September.

The overseas foray comes seven months after Strategic Insight was acquired by Asset International. Strategic Insight's London office shares the same office location as Global Custodian, a London-based publication that's part of the Asset International family.

Joining Pfunder in Strategic Insight's London location is Jamie Maak, global business development manager. Maak is relocating from New York.

Jag Alexeyev, senior managing director responsible for Strategic Insight's overseas efforts, told The MFWire that the firm plans to hire two analysts "in the immediate future."

As for Hong Kong, Strategic Insight plans to have an office there up and running by September, Alexeyev said.

No additional overseas offices are planned for this year.
