Goldman Hires Away a Janus Exec


Keith Watts is leaving Janus next week to take a job as Western divisional sales manager at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, The MFWire has learned. Watts will report to national sales manager Jim Yount, who joined GSAM from Janus last year as national sales manager.

Watts and Yount were not immediately available for comment. A GSAM spokesperson was not immediately able to provide comment.

Watts currently has two roles at Janus: executive director of the private wealth and trust group and divisional vice president for the West.

Watts' last day at Janus is March 18, Janus spokesman James Aber confirmed to The MFWire.

According to Aber, Dave Lucier will take over the private wealth and trust group. As for wholesalers in the Western division, they will report to John Ingram, senior vice president in Janus' advisor solutions group, on an interim basis.
