Yet the site is already developing traction with some of its fund metrics. Look for the startups metrics to appear at the SmartMoney.com Web site. SmartMoney will include a number of metrics on its site including: the Fat Fund Index, which measure the the amount of a fund's assets relative to its investment mandate; Family Advantage Index, a measure of the helping hand a fund gets from its complex; and Hot Money Index, which measures whether the fund is a haven for timers, according to MaxFunds.
