New Head for BISYS Plan Services

Last week BISYS hired Christopher Guarino as its new president of Retirement Plan Services, according to Charles Mohr, president of BISYS Services group Mohr replaces Al Shemtaub (06/02/99), in what Mohr said was a "mutual parting" from the Little Falls, NJ, recordkeeping firm.

Guarino was previously the chief operating officer with Trustar Retirement, a Boston third party recordkeeping firm.

Mohr said there are no further plans for expansion at this time however there are plans for new regional sales people. "We have had someone in place on the East Coast since September, someone will be hired in the Mid-West this week and someone will be placed in the West Coast by mid-February," he said.

Guarino will also be assisting in the five phase Internet roll-out BISYS is planning which already includes an informational Web site and will, by the spring, include transactional capabilities and online loan access.
