Monday, May 24, 1999 E*Trade Plans Tech Fund E*TRADE Group Inc. (EGRP) today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, E*TRADE Asset Management, has filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for the E*TRADE Technology Index Fund. The E*TRADE Technology Index Fund will seek to track the performance of the Goldman Sachs Technology Index (GSTI), which currently consists of 169 stocks from six key subsectors of technology: Hardware, Software, Services, Semiconductors, Internet and Multimedia Networking.
