BlackRock Quietly Moves its Headquarters

Larry Fink's CEO suite is now located at a different building. New York City-based BlackRock recently moved its headquarters from 40 East 52nd Street to 55 East 52nd Street, where the firm already has had a presence for some time.

The move to the new headquarters across the street took place in mid-November, according to a company spokesperson.

BlackRock "outgrew the trading floor on 40 E. 52nd Street so a new trading floor was constructed on the 6th floor of 55 E. 52nd Street," the spokesperson wrote in e-mailed comments to The MFWire.

Some BlackRock employees remain on 40. It was not clear how many employees relocated to the new headquarters.

The HQ move occurred a few weeks before BlackRock completed its purchase of Barclays Global Investors.
