An Asset Management I-Banker Joins Lovell Minnick


Lovell Minnick Partners, a private equity firm focusing on financial services firms, has brought on board David Scott as senior associate. He will join the El Segundo, California office and report to managing directors Jeff Lovell and Robert Belke.

Scott previously worked at Berkshire Capital Securities, where he gave M&A advice involving mutual fund firms and securities brokers. Among the transactions he worked on was the sale of Harris Insight Funds to Phoenix Companies. Earlier, Scott worked at Strategic Insight as product manager.

Scott joins the 13-member investment team at Lovell Minnick, which evaluates investment opportunities in the financial services realm. He will provide support to portfolio companies and help in managing Lovell Minnick's private equity partnerships totaling more than $700 million.

Lovell Minnick's portfolio companies include ALPS Holdings, Atlantic Asset Management, ClariVest Asset Management, Duff & Phelps Corporation, Leerink Swan Holdings, Mercer Advisors, PlanMember Financial Corp. and UNX Inc.
